Our card writing force

In the era of digital connectivity, there seems to be something almost magical about the handwritten word. Think about travel. No one says – ‘send me a WhatsApp from Machu Picchu’. They ask for postcards, penned by you. And writing that postcard to those back home is just about as much of an event as receiving it. The handwritten cards that go out in our Yuppiechef boxes are just like that and every time something travels from us to you, we get excited about saying hi.

If you’ve ordered from us before, you will know that we put a great deal of thought into making sure the cards of thanks you receive look as lovely as they read. Have you seen our cards designed by the supremely talented Lorraine Loots?

All year round, whenever the orders stream in, every one of us here at Yuppiechef HQ is on stand by to jump in and start writing cards. We each have our own stash of cards on our desks and colour pens to get creative with. When we hit the festive season, our busiest time of year, many might think that we pre-write cards, or have clever robots and machines who pen our words for us. But we don’t. Here’s one of our founders, Shane Dryden. He writes cards too because no matter who you are or what your role is within the team, penning a little note from us to you is what makes our world go round.

So when you place your order, imagine us, here at the ready, limbering up our fingers. And remember, if you really want us to draw you a dinosaur, we will.
