The ‘litre volume’ information provided by many airfryer manufacturers is not a fair reflection of cooking capacity, as this accounts for the inside space without the basket or drawer. What matters more is the cooking area at the bottom of the basket. To get the best results, you should cook items in a single layer, so focus on the base, not just the height or volume.

• Clean after each use

Airfryer basket:

• Clean the airfryer basket with a sponge or cloth and a solution of warm water and washing up liquid, then rinse well
• Ensure that all grease and food debris are removed
• Do not immerse the basket in water or any other liquid
• Do not wash the basket in a dishwasher

Cooking tray:

• Clean the cooking tray with a cloth or sponge and a solution of warm water and washing up liquid
• The cooking tray has a non-stick coating — to avoid damage to the coating, do not use metal cleaning utensils

Cooking chamber:

• Clean the cooking chamber with a sponge or cloth and a solution of warm water and washing up liquid
• To remove baked-on grease and food residue, spray with a mixture of bicarbonate of soda and vinegar and wipe clean with a damp cloth
• For stubborn stains, allow the mixture to sit on the affected area for several minutes before scrubbing clean
• Check the heating coil for oil spatter and food debris — clean with a damp cloth as needed
• Ensure the heating coil is completely dry before the next use

Exterior and power cord:

• Clean with a soft, damp cloth or sponge and wipe dry

For stubborn stains:

• Use a mixture of bicarb and vinegar
• Spray and wipe with a damp cloth
• For very stubborn stains, allow the mixture to sit on the affected area for several minutes before scrubbing clean
